Day 1 – 27th March 2026- Arrive Tokyo
Upon arrival in Tokyo, you will make your way to the hotel. (Please note, you won't be able to check-in to the hotel until 1500, so if your flight arrives earlier there is the option to book an extra night at the hotel to ensure your room is ready when you arrive). Today is an arrival day so there are no planned activities. If you arrive in time, you can join your guide and the rest of the group for dinner to get to know your fellow travellers!
Day 2 – Tokyo (B)
After breakfast at the hotel, we will start a full day’s tour of Tokyo to include Asakusa, Sensoji Temple, Nakamise shopping Street, Ginza, Meiji Jingu Shrine, Harajuku, Takeshita Street.
*** Please note there are slight changes to the sightseeing today, so that it covers more of the main sights to maximise the day***Day 3 – Tokyo (B,)
After breakfast at the hotel, you will embark upon a full day tour to see the incredible Mount Fuji, Japan’s tallest peak. Overnight in Tokyo.
Day 4 - Tokyo Free Day (B)
After breakfast you will have the day at leisure. Overnight in Tokyo.
Day 5 – Nikko / Tokyo (B)
After breakfast, you will be travelling to Nikko, a small but beautiful city in Japan’s Tochigi region. Here you will be given a private guided tour of the area and learn about the Edo Period, for which this area is famous. Overnight in Tokyo.
Day 6 – Tokyo / Takayama (B)
After breakfast at the hotel, you will catch the bullet train to Takayama. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your Ryokan, a traditional Japanese inn where you will spend the night. You will then have an orientation tour of the town and visit a Sake Brewery. Overnight in Takayama. (**shared rooms & shared bathrooms, no single option)
Day 7 - Takayama / Kyoto (B)
This morning you will have free to visit the local market. In the afternoon, you will be transferred to the train station to catch the bullet train to Kyoto, formerly the Imperial capital of Japan and home to many classical Buddhist temples. After check-in, you will head to Gion to learn more about this area and its history. Overnight in Kyoto.
Day 8 – Kyoto (B)
After breakfast, you will be given a full day’s guided tour of Kyoto by public transport. The tour will include the Buddhist temple of Sanjyusangen-do, the UNESCO Kiyomizu Temple, Nishiki Market also known as the ‘kitchen of Kyoto’, Tenryuji Temple with its beautiful garden, and finally the Kinkakuji Temple Japan’s second most famous site. Overnight in Kyoto.
Day 9 – Kyoto (B,L)
Today you will be given a course in the art of sushi making and an insight into Japanese tea. You will have the rest of the afternoon free for more sightseeing. Overnight in Kyoto.
Day 10 – Kyoto / Hiroshima (B)
After breakfast at the hotel, make your way to Kyoto’s train station to catch another bullet train to Hiroshima. Upon arrival in Hiroshima, you will make your way to the hotel for check-in. Then you will begin your tour of the Peace Park and museum. Afterwards, we will take the ferry across to Miyajama, a small island also known as ‘Shrine Island’. Overnight in Hiroshima.
Day 11 – Hiroshima / Osaka (B)
Today you will take the train to Osaka where you will spend your final night of the tour. You will be given a short orientation on arrival.
Day 12 - 07 April 2026 - Depart Osaka (B)
Today is the last day of your tour. You will make your own way to Osaka Kansai International Airport for international flights home.
The price of the above tour is £2899.00 for all bookings made by 1st May 2025 (please enquire about a price increase after this date). The price does not include flights from the UK. I will give the go ahead to book flights once we have a minimum of 5 people paid their deposits. The sooner you book, the better deals you will be able to get on flights so it is advised to book early, especially as this trip falls within cherry blossom season. A non refundable deposit of £250.00 via bank transfer will secure you a place on the trip.
(Deposits are of course refundable if the trip gets cancelled due to government advice or restrictions on entering Japan.) Country entry information will be reviewed closer to the time and all attendees will kept UpToDate.

Upon arrival at the airport, you’ll be transferred to your hotel. While there are no scheduled activities, you can join your guide and fellow travelers for a group dinner.
08 Apr-Day 2: History and Culture of the North-South Divide in Paju Start early with a visit to the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) between North and South Korea. The Imjingak Peace Tour will take you through key sites like the Third Infiltration Tunnel, Dora Observatory, and Imjingak Peace Park. On the return to Seoul, stop by the War Memorial of Korea, a museum dedicated to preserving the history of the Korean War.
09 Apr-Day 3: Explore Seoul After breakfast, you'll embark on a tour of Seoul's iconic sights. Visit Gyeongbok Palace, a stunning 500-year-old royal palace, followed by the Folklore Museum to learn about traditional Korean culture. Explore Bukchon Hanok Village, a living museum of traditional architecture, and Jogyesa Temple, a beautiful Buddhist site. Wander down Insadong, a street rich with traditional markets, souvenirs, and street food. Finally, visit Gwangjang Market, a bustling hub for sampling traditional Korean food.
10 Apr-Day 4: Explore the Ancient Wonders of Gyeongju Travel to Gyeongju to discover Korea’s historical treasures. Start at the Gyeongju National Museum, housing artifacts from the Silla Dynasty. Explore Tumuli Park, known for its ancient tombs and burial mounds. Visit Cheomseongdae Observatory, Asia’s oldest surviving astronomical observatory, and stroll through Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond, both significant sites from the Silla Era.
11 Apr-Day 5: Further Sightseeing in Gyeongju and Travel to Busan Continue exploring Gyeongju with visits to Bulguksa Temple and Seokguram Grotto, both UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Bulguksa Temple is one of South Korea’s most important Buddhist temples, while Seokguram Grotto offers incredible Buddhist art and architecture. Arrive in Busan and visit Gukje Market, the largest seafood market in South Korea, where you can explore vibrant stalls and sample fresh seafood.
12 Apr-Day 6: Explore Busan Start the day at Haedong Yonggungsa Temple, a stunning cliffside Buddhist temple overlooking the ocean. Visit Haeundae Beach and enjoy the views of the APEC House. Walk along Songdo Skywalk for breathtaking panoramic views of the city and nearby islands. Finally, explore Gamcheon Culture Village, a colorful village with winding alleyways and bright buildings.
13 Apr-Day 7: Travel from Busan to Seoul After breakfast, enjoy some free time in Busan before boarding the train back to Seoul. A farewell dinner will be arranged in the evening.
14 Apr-Day 8: Farewell to Seoul You will make your way back to the airport for your flight home.

Arrival to Tashkent. Transfer to hotel accommodation, breakfast and rest. Sightseeing tour in Tashkent with visits to Khast Imam Complex, Chorsu Bazaar and Kukeldash Madrasah. Visit to the new part of city: Mustakillik Square (Independence Square), Museum of Applied Arts, Alisher Navoi Theater and square, Amir Temur Monument and Square.
Day 3 -Thu 30 April - Tashkent to Khiva
Today you will catch an early morning flight from Tashkent, arriving in Urgench at 08:40. From here you will be transferred to the friendly Silk Road town of Khiva for a sightseeing tour. In the evening, we will visit a local family run cafe to watch a traditional bread making process. You will then have the pleasure of eating this delicious bread with your dinner! Overnight in Khiva.
Day 4 - Fri 01 May - Explore Ancient Khorezm
Today we take a 1.5 hours’ one way drive to Khorezmian ruins of Ayaz kala and Toprak Kala to learn about the original historical town ruins of Khorezmian region. Later in the afternoon drive back to Khiva for a free afternoon and overnight in Khiva
Day 5 - Sat 02 May - Desert Crossing to Bukhara
Transfer from Khiva to Bukhara (8 hours) crossing the Kyzylkum desert. Lunch in the roadside café. Arrival to Bukhara at approx. 16:00 hours. Accommodation and overnight in Bukhara.
Day 6 - Sun 03 May - Bukhara's Timeless Treasures
Day of sightseeing in Bukhara: The Samanids Mausoleum, Chashma-Ayub Mausoleum, Kalyan Mosque, Kalyan Minaret, Miri-Arab Madrassah, Chor-Minor Madrassah, Modari-khan Madrassah, Ulugbek Madrassah, Lyabi-Hauz Architectural Complex, Magoki-Attori Mosque, Bolo-Khauz Mosque, Monumental Shopping Arcades, The Ark Fortress.

Day 8 - Tue 05 May - Aydarkul Lake to Samarkand
You will begin your day at Aydarkul Lake, where you will be given the opportunity to go on an easy hike around the lake or swimming (weather permitting). You will then be given a picnic lunch atop a hill with great views of the lake before continuing the journey to Samarkand, where you will spend the night. In the evening, you’ll visit the Khovrenko Winery to learn about this ancient vineyard and do a wine tasting!
Day 9 - Wed 06 May - Spectacular Samarkand: Uncover the Jewel of the Silk Road
After breakfast, begin your days sightseeing tour of Samarkand. Highlights include Registan Square, Guri-Amir Complex, Bibikhanum Mosque, Siyob local bazaar, Shah-I-Zinda, Ulugbek Observatory and the Afrosiab Musuem of the ancient town. In the afternoon, we’ll make a visit to a local paper mill to discover ancient methods of paper making. Overnight in Samarkand.Day 10 - Thu 07 May - Samarkand to Tashkent
Morning in Samarkand to continue our tour and enjoy the local bazaar, Siyob. Afternoon transfer to Tashkent and overnight in Tashkent.

Day 1 - 14 May - Welcome to Shanghai
Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel for check-in which will be from 2pm. Today is an arrival day so there are no planned activities. A dinner will be arranged for the evening and on the way, you can stop to visit The Bund, Shanghai’s most famous waterfront destination, which looks very impressive at night.Day 2 – Shanghai Sightseeing
After breakfast you will begin your day of sightseeing in Shanghai. During your tour, you will visit the Jade Buddha Temple, built between 1918 and 1928 and home to a beautiful Buddha carved from pure jade. You will also visit the Old Town and the classical Yuyuan Garden before having some free time to wander the street stalls and shops nearby.Day 3 – Zhujiajiao Ancient Water Town
After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to Zhujiajiao for a day trip to visit the beautiful ancient water town. Take a walking tour over the picturesque bridges and canals that were formed 1700 years ago, as well as visiting the ancient post office. In the afternoon you will be taken back to Shanghai where you will have the evening at your leisure.Day 4 – Shanghai / Chengdu
Today you will be transferred to Shanghai Airport for a domestic flight to Chengdu. Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon, you will visit the People’s Park, an interesting Chinese park with typical tea houses and lots of locals, as well as taking a walk down Jinli Walking Street, lined with traditional wooden buildings and Chinese lanterns.Day 5 – Chengdu & Pandas
This morning we will be travelling to Chengdu’s Giant Panda Breeding & Research Centre to see the many adorable pandas that live there. Founded in 1985, the centre is now home to 50 giant pandas! In the afternoon, we’ll visit the Wenshu Monastery, a large Buddhist monastery rebuilt during the Qing dynasty in 1697.Day 6 – Xian City Walls
After breakfast, we’ll be taking a high-speed train from Chengdu to Xian Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to your hotel and then we’ll head out for a visit of the stunning Xian City Wall. Also known as the ‘fortifications of Xian’, it is one of the largest and best-preserved walls in China. You will have some free time here and can cycle along the wall if you wish. Chinese dumpling meal in the evening.Day 7 – Terracotta Warriors
After breakfast, visit the UNESCO world heritage site of the Terracotta Warriors Museum to see the thousands of terracotta army sculptures, created to protect the First Emperor of China in his afterlife. You will also visit the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda (courtyard only – you can buy tickets to climb up the pagoda on site). In the evening, you will have the option to go to a Tang Dynasty Show.Day 8 – Beijing-Temple of Heaven
Today you will be transferred to the train station to catch another high-speed train to Beijing. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel for check-in. In the afternoon we’ll visit the Temple of Heaven, constructed in the 1400’s and used by emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties for prayer.Day 9 – Beijing -The Great Wall
After breakfast, we will be driving for around 2-hours until we reach one of the world’s seven wonders; The Great Wall of China. We will visit the Badaling section of the wall (cable car not included), and you will have around 2 and a half hours to explore this stunning structure. Afterwards, you’ll be transferred back to Beijing, and in the evening will have the option of seeing the Beijing Opera.Day 10 – Beijing
Today you will be exploring Beijing. You will visit Tiananmen Square, a site of great cultural significance to China and home of the Chairman Mao Memorial Hall. Next, you will enter the Forbidden City, home to many Chinese emperors dating back almost 500 years. The last stop on today’s tour will be at the UNESCO world heritage site, the Summer Palace, a large ensemble of lakes, gardens and palaces.Day 11- Beijing Free day
Day 12 –25 May 2026-Depart Beijing
Transfer to Beijing Airport for international flights.The cost of this tour is just £1699.00 for all deposits paid by 01 Jan 2026.
