And finally, finish up your tour in the vibrant city of Rio de Janeiro, where you will marvel at Christ the Redeemer and the incredible views from Sugarloaf Mountain.
08 November 2023- Day 1 – Arrive Buenos Aires
Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel for check-in. Today is an arrival day so there are no planned activities until the evening. For your first night in Buenos Aires, you will enjoy an evening of Tango at La Ventana, one of the city’s many restaurants. Overnight in Buenos Aires.
Day 2 – Buenos Aires
After breakfast at the hotel you will begin a 5-hour city tour of Buenos Aires, visiting the glamorous neighbourhoods of Recoleta and Palermo, the Plaza de Mayo, the Pink House, the Metropolitan Cathedral, and the popular Puerto Madero as well as many other buildings of unique architectural significance. A visit to Buenos Aires would not be complete without a sight of the city’s first settlements, and for this you will head to the picturesque neighbourhood of San Telmo. You will also visit Argentina’s answer to Genoa, the colourful Italian neighbourhood of La Boca. You will have some free time in the late afternoon and dinner will be arranged for the evening.
Day 3 – Buenos Aires / Santa Susana Ranch
After breakfast at the hotel, you will be spending the day at Santa Susana Ranch. Home to the Gaucho, the Humid Pampas are some of the most fertile natural grasslands in the world and are famous for their production of beef and cereals. Whilst at the ranch, surrounded by stunning natural landscapes, you will enjoy folk songs and dances, delicious Argentinian wines, and unbeatable shows of traditional Gaucho skills. You will discover this charming hundred-year-old tradition and understand the Argentine lifestyle through the Gaucho; the greatest symbol of these lands.
Day 4 – Buenos Aires / Tigre Delta / Iguazu
After an early breakfast you will be travelling to the city of Tigre where you will see the third largest river delta in the world. Watch the locals of this area as they travel along the peaceful canals in their boats. Your next stop will be in the affluent town of San Isidro, home to some impressive mansions, as well as cobbled-stone streets and a stunning neo-Gothic cathedral. In the afternoon you will be transferred back to Buenos Aires, where you will have some free time until a 5pm transfer will take you to the airport for your flight to Iguazu.
Day 5 – Iguazu (Argentinian Side)
Today you will visit the magnificent Iguazu Falls on the Argentinian side. You can appreciate the falls from many different angles as you walk across the foot bridges, stopping at different viewpoints. You will also be able to admire the Devil’s Throat today and have the chance to take a ride in a speedboat to the Tres Mosqueteros Fall. You will then have free time in the evening.
Day 6 – Iguazu (Brazilian Side) / Rio de Janeiro
Having visited the Argentinian side of the waterfall yesterday, today you will have the Brazilian perspective. In the afternoon you will be transferred to Foz do Iguazu Airport for flights to Rio de Janeiro, where you will spend the night.
Day 7 – Rio de Janeiro
Today you will take half-day tours of Corcovado Mountain and Sugarloaf Mountain. Begin by taking the 20-minute train journey, up through the dense rainforest of Tijuca, to the gigantic statue of Christ the Redeemer. From here, you can enjoy incredible panoramic views of the city. In the afternoon, you will begin your tour to Sugarloaf Mountain, stopping at Morro da Urca (170m) and then Sugarloaf itself (270m). In the evening you will have some free time.
Day 8 – Rio de Janeiro / Petropolis
After breakfast you will travel to Rio’s popular weekend getaway spot, Petropolis, a mountain retreat for Brazilians looking to escape the city. Petropolis is home to the former palace of the 19th century emperor, Dom Pedro II, and feels decidedly European. After spending the day exploring this picturesque place, you will be transferred back to the city. Overnight in Rio de Janeiro.
Day 9 – Rio de Janeiro
Today will be spent at your leisure in Rio de Janeiro. Dinner will be arranged for your final night of this Brazil & Argentina tour.
17 Nov 2023 - Day 10 – Depart Rio de Janeiro
After breakfast you will have some free time to further explore or soak up the sun. In the afternoon, make your way to the airport for international flights home.
The price of the above tour is £1899.00 based on sharing a twin room (single room £399.00) and does not include flights.
International flights-You will receive a recommendation of flights to book once we have the minimum numbers. Flying into Buenos Aries and back from Rio.
Domestic flights- there are two domestic flights you need to book, and you can either book yourself or can be booked by our tour partners .
