From spotting wild Przewalski horses and hiking the “Singing Dunes” of the Gobi, to living alongside nomadic families—milking yaks, herding camels, and sharing home-cooked meals—this journey is packed with once-in-a-lifetime moments. Explore ancient capitals, ruined monasteries, dinosaur fossil sites, ice gorges in the desert, and UNESCO-listed valleys. Day 1- Welcome to Mongolia
Pick up from airport. Check in to hotel. Traffic in UB is unpredictable; the drive from the airport to the city centre typically takes around 1.5 hours.
In the afternoon we will visit Bogd Khan Palace Museum and Zaisan Hill Monument and in the evening, we will have Dinner & Trip Orientation.

Day 2- Khustai National Park
After breakfast we will drive to Khustai National Park Prezawalski Horse Spotting and after lunch Nomadic Culture Show at Mongol Nomadic Ger Camp and Light hike/trek to a local ovoo (Mongolian sacred monument).

Day 3- Mini-Gobi & Kharkhorin
We will start the day exploring the landscapes of the Mini-Gobi. Enjoy lunch with a local nomadic family, experiencing their daily life and traditional cuisine.In the afternoon, we will drive to Kharkhorin, the ancient capital of the Mongol Empire, and visit the Kharkhorin Museum to learn about the region’s rich history

Day 4- Orkhon Valley
After breakfast we will drive to Orkhon Valley is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, known for its landscapes, waterfalls, and archaeological after breakfast we will Erdene Zuu Monastery and Live Monk Chanting
We will stay with a trusted local nomadic family and experience traditional life, including yak milking, dairy making, and horse handling. It will be a Nomadic Cultural Immersion: Making milk, vodka & traditional meals like dumplings or traditional whole mutton BBQ

Day 5 -Orkhon Valley- Cultural Immersion
We will spend the day living alongside a local nomadic family. In the morning, participate in traditional activities such as fetching river water, milking yaks, and making dairy products. After lunch, we will continue with hands-on experiences like herding sheep and horse handling to gain a deep understanding of nomadic life.

Day 6 -Ongi Monastery Ruins
After breakfast we will drive south towards the Gobi and after lunch we will continue the drive to explore the monastery museum + grounds. Ongi Monastery (Ongiin Khiid) was once one of Mongolia’s largest monastic complexes, now a historic ruin offering insight into Buddhist life before the 1930s purges. It's surrounded by Ongi River
Day 7- Bayanzag/Flaming Cliffs
After breakfast we Drive to Bayanzag.Bayanzag (Flaming Cliffs) is a key paleontological
site known for major dinosaur fossil discoveries, including some of the world’s first dinosaur eggs. Its red sandstone cliffs are especially striking at sunset. Learn about Roy Chapman Andrews' expedition at Bayanzag Museum and Watch the sunset at Bayanzag

Day 8- Khongor Sand Dunes
After breakfast drive to Khongor Sand Dunes for a Short hike on dunes & optional camel ride. After lunch explore sand dunes & watch the sunset & amazing photography opportunities. Khongor Sand Dunes are Mongolia’s largest sand dunes, known as the “Singing Dunes” for the sound the sand makes when moved by the wind. You can experience camel riding and explore the vast desert landscape.

Day 9- Full Day Immersion at Khongor Sand Dunes
After Breakfast we will spend the day with a local camel-herding family, participating in traditional daily activities, including camel care, milking, and desert survival techniques. After lunch there is an optional hike or sandboarding and ending the day to relax at camp & enjoy desert scenery

Day 10 -Yol Valley
After breakfast Drive to Yolyn Am Ice Gorge.Yol Valley is a narrow, deep gorge in the Gobi Desert,famous for its ice formations even in summer and as a habitat for ibex, marmots, and other wildlife. After lunch short hike through gorge & observe wildlife

Day 11- Baga Gazriin Chuluu
After breakfast we will drive to Drive to Baga Gazriin Chuluu. Baga Gazriin Chuluu is a dramatic granite outcrop rising from the steppe, rich in small caves and rock formations. You can explore the geology, hike around the rocks, and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding steppe. After lunch we will hike and explore granite formations visit nearby small caves & meditate

Day 12 - Delger Choir Monastery and Terelj National Park
After breakfast drive back toward Terelj National Park and stop by the Delger Choir Monastery on the way. After lunch Optional short hike to Aryabal Temple or horseback riding to Turtle Rock

Day 13 -Terelj National Park
After breakfast we will visit the Genghis Khan Equestrian Statue. After lunch we have a Mongolian Calligraphy Lesson, and farewell dinner.

Day 14 -Bid a fond farewell to Mongolia
Today we bid a fond farewell to Mongolia leaving with fond memories

The price of the above tour is £2899.00 for all bookings made by 1st March 2026 (please enquire about a price increase after this date). The price does not include flights from the UK. I will give the go ahead to book flights once we have a minimum of 5 people paid their deposits. The sooner you book, the better deals you will be able to get on flights so it is advised to book early.
