A Somatic Grief Ritual for Death and Loss
July 17th-19th
Victoria BC
๐น Bring ease and resolution to deathly issues
๐น Explore the afterlife journey
๐น Find healing with your deceased loved ones
๐น Connect more deeply to life
Rooted in the lineage of Systemic Family Constellations, this weekend grief ritual is a powerful blend of sacred ritual, sound healing, energy work, and collective healing.
As a group, we explore deathly topics from individual participants. You may come with your own topic, or participate in rituals for othersโ topics, such as:
๐ Guilt, regret, or self-blame connected to a death
๐ Unfinished business, including estrangement or conflict before death
๐ Abortion, miscarriage, or pregnancy loss
๐ End of Life dementia
๐ Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD)
๐ Spiritual or intuitive experiences that need context or integration
๐ Questions about the afterlife and the soulโs journey
๐ A sense that a dead person has not crossed over, or is not at peace
๐ Supporting a loved one who is dying
๐ Understanding and preparing for your own death
๐ Claiming your place as a modern-day Deathwalker
๐ Any topic related to an upcoming death, or one in the recent or more distant past
The process is slow and gentle, but profound. As we connect with the wisdom of the healing field, we create a resonant healing space, and discover deep truths about ourselves, each other, and our world.

๐ฟ โWithout a doubt, it's the most profound healing modality Iโve seen for addressing bereavement, loss and unfinished business with our dead.โ - Sheila S.
Facilitator, Sarah Kerr, PhD
As founder of The Centre for Sacred Deathcare, Sarah has been teaching everyday Deathwalkers to meet mortality in a soul-based way since 2012. She has facilitated somatic grief rituals in Canada, the US, and Australia since 2017. Visit her Instagram @sacreddeathcare.
๐ฟ "I'm transformed every time I attend an Across the Veil Grief Ritual. I always feel in good hands as Sarah leads us fearlessly through places we thought we couldn't go." - Rowan W.
For Death Doulas and End-of-life Practitioners
If you support dying people and their families, part of what you bring is your own embodied familiarity with the dying journey. People feel it, and itโs part of the healing gift you offer. Join us to build and strengthen this embodied knowing by deepening your relationship with the dying process.
๐ฟ "I feel really alive to the possibilities of my life ahead... something that has been holding me back or really constraining me has dropped away." - Katherine S.
We enter through the gateway of death and loss but what we find is deeply life-affirming.
Youโll leave feeling lighter, more connected, and with a renewed sense of meaning.
