What we’re about

Your body is a deep vessel of inner wisdom.

For those ready to move beyond thinking about healing and start experiencing it, in the body, in community, and in rhythm with the Earth. Come join the MOVEMENT!

This is a community for those who have sensed there is more—more to feel, more to reclaim, more to remember. We believe healing isn't about fixing what’s broken—it’s about coming home to what has always been true within you.

Join us for movement sessions, breathwork ceremonies, earth-based rituals, and immersive community gatherings designed to awaken the vitality, clarity, and connection already living inside you.

✨ Somatic processing – to gently unwind the blocks and stories the body carries
✨ Earth-based practices – returning to the land as mirror, teacher, and medicine
✨ Liberation work – acknowledging and dismantling systems of oppression within and around us
✨ Community healing – because transformation is never meant to happen in isolation

All bodies, all backgrounds, and all identities are welcome.
No previous experience is necessary—just an open heart and a willingness to begin.

Come breathe, move, and remember with us.

Women's Breathwork Ceremony - DESIRE

Women's Breathwork Ceremony - DESIRE

Somatic Wisdom Institute, 1324 Lake Drive SE, Suite 4, Grand Rapids, MI, US

This ceremony is an invitation to soften into the whispers of your heart. Together we’ll explore desire as a guide, a teacher, and a sacred doorway into the life you’re meant to live.

Must Register Here

As women, we are often taught to quiet our longings, to tuck away the fire of our true desires in order to fit into a box that was never meant to contain us. Yet when we are disconnected from desire, we are also disconnected from the ability to design the life we truly want. Desire is not frivolous—it is the compass of the soul.

And yet, we live in a world of paradox. We’re told: Be ambitious, but not bossy. Be sexy, but don’t be sexual. Be confident, but not arrogant. Be nurturing, but don’t lose yourself. Speak your truth, but don’t upset anyone*.* These mixed messages leave us silencing what we want most, mistrusting our own wisdom, and shrinking our lives to fit inside the expectations of others.

In this breathwork ceremony, we will reclaim desire as sacred. Together we’ll create space to meet the part of us that longs for more—more aliveness, more intimacy, more joy, more freedom. Through the breath, we’ll open to the possibility that our desires are not a problem to be fixed, but a powerful guide leading us home to ourselves.
This ceremony is for women and non-binary humans who identify with women’s containers.
