For those lucky people who are retired, semi-retired or just have a day off in the week, we thought we would trial hosting a weekday walk.

We will meet at the car park (Dundry Down Rd BS41 8LQ) at 10:30am.

This is classed as an "energetic" walk from the outskirts of Bristol, deep into the Somerset countryside. You will be rewarded with some of the best views over the city and beyond, as well as a fine vista south from an Iron-Age fort (description taken from Ramblers site).

I did a recce of the walk this morning - and with the sun shining - the views are amazing. Please ensure you have sturdy footwear as there are a few muddy places.

We will stop for a lunch break so please bring packed/snacks. After the walk, you're welcome to join for a quick drink in the Dundry Inn (if you were thinking of having food at the pub not sure we will make it back in time as kitchen closes at 14:30 - depends on pace of group).

Please pay £1 donation on the day (this money goes towards the subscription fee to this site).

WEATHER
If bad weather is forecast, the walk will be cancelled the day before.
If the weather is horrendous on the day it will be cancelled on the morning of the walk, by 8:00 am

PLEASE CHECK THE EVENT DETAILS ON THE WEBSITE OR APP BEFORE YOU LEAVE FOR THE WALK.

If you can’t make the event, please amend you RSVP to not going so we are not waiting unnecessarily
