Priddy, Ebbor Gorge and Wookey Hole Circular - 7.5 miles
Details
Following our midweek walk this week, a Thursday was suggested as a good day so hoping that this may appeal to a few extra people too 😊!
This is a different route from the Priddy walk we did earlier on this year but will still take in some fantastic views of the Somerset Levels.
As we leave the village green, we can pause to read the inscribed stone on the wall of the whitewashed cottage.
We will head to the Ebbor nature reserve, where we can either chose the steps to descend the gorge or opt for the climb over the boulders.
From here, we will stroll through Wookey Hole and start heading up to the Priddy Mineries.
It is a route that can become very muddy so decent boots would be beneficial. I will complete a recce soon and will post any updates if needed.
We can either have packed lunch halfway round or just have a quick snack and go to the Queen Victoria Inn for lunch after (kitchen is open until 14:30). Thoughts?
WEATHER
If bad weather is forecast, the walk will be cancelled the day before.
If the weather is horrendous on the day it will be cancelled on the morning of the walk, by 8:00 am
