North Wootton/Pilton 8 mile walk inc optional lunch

We are now starting from The Crossways in North Wootton (not the crown in Pilton) and is a slightly longer walk.
Arrive at 10.15 for a 10.30 start.

Walk
A circular route starting from The Crossways North Wootton walking through ancient orchards towards the Westholmes, around the Glastonbury festival site with views of the pyramid stage and Glastonbury Tor. Returning through the picturesque village of Pilton passing many ancient buildings including the Tithe barn and church.

Meet at the parking area in the lower car park.

Choose from:
Roasted Topside of Beef
Roasted Lamb, Pork, or Turkey (rotated weekly)
Vegetarian – please ask your Server for this week’s choice
Accompanied with a selection of seasonal vegetables, crispy roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, homemade stuffing, and Chef’s rich gravy.
Adult £18.95 or Senior Citizen (66 and over) £16.95

If the walk is cancelled because of bad weather please let me know if you would still like lunch by adding your favourite band name eg 'Wet Leg'😂

On arrival for lunch we will pay individually for a carvery ticket.
We have been given a fantastic function room, please see my photo!!

Dogs
Due to some restrictive stiles the walk is only suitable for small/medium sized dogs. Please ensure dogs are kept on a lead at all times to protect ground-nesting birds during the breeding season.
**fortunately, dogs are allowed in the restaurant **

Somerset Singles walking group:
£1 fee is payable on the day and this is to help towards the subscription fee for use of the Meet Up App.

WEATHER
If bad weather is forecast, the walk will be cancelled the day before.
If the weather is horrendous on the day it will be cancelled on the morning of the walk, by 8:00 am
PLEASE CHECK THE EVENT DETAILS ON THE WEBSITE OR APP BEFORE YOU LEAVE FOR THE WALK.
If you can’t make the event, please amend you RSVP to not going so we are not waiting unnecessarily
