Priddy, Ebbor Gorge and Wookey Hole Circular - 8 miles with Optional lunch

Parking
We will meet outside the former New Inn pub. Parking is limited so please, where possible, consider car sharing. Arrive at 10:15am for a prompt 10:30am start.
Walk
This is a different route from the Priddy walk we did last year with the killer hills but will still take in some fantastic views of the Somerset Levels.
As we leave the village green, we can pause to read the inscribed stone on the wall of the whitewashed cottage.
We will head to the Ebbor nature reserve, where we can either chose the steps to descend the gorge or opt for the climb over the boulders.
From here, we will stroll through Wookey Hole and start heading up to the Priddy Mineries.
We will stop for a short 15 minute break halfway along walk for those who wish to bring a drink and snack.
Dogs
Due to some restrictive stiles the walk is only suitable for small/medium sized dogs. Please ensure dogs are kept on a lead at all times to protect ground-nesting birds during the breeding season.
Pub lunch booked
A table for up to 25 people has been booked at the Queen Victoria for 2pm. If you wish to attend, please choose meal selection from menus below and include in your RSVP.
Somerset Singles walking group:
£1 fee is payable on the day and this is to help towards the subscription fee for use of the Meet Up App.
WEATHER
If bad weather is forecast, the walk will be cancelled the day before.
If the weather is horrendous on the day it will be cancelled on the morning of the walk, by 8:00 am
