Something Special Barcelona is a community for people who want more from their week than the usual routine.
We organize events around Barcelona that bring people together: open salsa classes on the beach, sunset runs, yoga, coffee raves with live DJ sets, hikes and more. Every event is different, but the vibe is always the same: good music, good energy and good people.
Who is it for?
Everyone. Locals, expats, newcomers, travelers. Whether you’ve just moved to Barcelona or have lived here for years, whether you’re a beginner or experienced, you’re welcome. Come alone, come with friends, you’ll leave with new ones.

Salsa on the Beach: Open Class

This class is for everyone. Never danced before? Perfect. Already know a few steps? Come and enjoy. You don’t need a partner, just come as you are. We’ll rotate during the class, so everyone dances with everyone, and it’s a great way to meet new people.
Your teacher
Luis Medina is a salsa and bachata instructor who teaches salsa (On1 & On2), bachata and cha cha cha, from total beginners to advanced dancers. He’ll guide you step by step through the basics, the rhythm and a few fun moves.
What to expect- A one-hour class, 6:00–7:00 PM
- Basic steps, rhythm and simple turns
- Good music, sunset and good people

- A friend, if you like
