SONGMAKERS 2025 PICNIC, Pool party & Song Circle

• We will play "officially" from 10 am until 10 pm on Sunday 9/14, but we are once again making it a jamming weekend! Old friends are staying over from other counties, so call if you want to jam with us Saturday 9/13 6-10pm so I'll know how much food to get. Monday evening we will jam either here or at Linneas house in Topanga and Tuesday 9/16, Steve's actual birthday, will be our monthly Agoura hills Song Circle 6-10, which has its own MeetUp RSVP.
• Friday 9/12, you can make it 5 days of music by joining us for a great Fireside Concert hosted by Songmakers own Ron and Carol, aka The McMammals at the Borchard Community Center in Newbury Park at 7:30pm. The featured entertainers, for the low price of $20 are Gary Stockdale, 2-time Emmy-nominated composer, songwriter/singer and Rob Rio, known as the “boogie woogie virtuoso” by Keyboard magazine, who always gives a dynamite piano show alternating songs about sex, drugs, and Rock & Roll! This is the only event of the 5 days that is not free.

Come early Sunday for the best swimming time, especially if you can help me grill the dogs and burgers! Our hot tub will be hot!
We play in a circle. Every musician / singer gets one or more turns at which time they may either Perform a song, Lead a sing-along song, or simply "Pass." You are the boss on your turn. If you can't hear the leader, you're playing too loud. We will have indoor and outdoor circles if needed, and maybe a 3rd at neighbor Annes house. Anne has also offered two guest bedrooms if anyone wants to stay over, but you must RSVP to have a bed, or to have food cooked for you.

What to bring: optional potluck dish, chair, bathing suit, towel, instruments, songs, voices and friends.

Grilled burgers and dogs (some plant based) and iced tea will be provided by Songmakers of California

Directions: From US101 take the Liberty Canyon exit
Proceed South past Agoura Rd to turn R at the 2nd street, Country Glen.
Turn R at the 2nd street, Defender Drive. 4032 is the 6th house.

• We usually have 10-20 participants at our Song Circles, but have had up to 60 at our picnics. PLEASE RSVP here on MeetUp or at (310)699-5755 by Friday morning, so I know how much to buy and grill! Songmakers nonprofit members only but you can join at the door for only $10/year.
