About us
Join us for a full-day Songwriting Camp at Safo Studios – a celebration of creativity, collaboration, and the joy of writing songs. Whether you’re just starting out or already experienced, this is your chance to connect with others and explore the craft of songwriting in a supportive, inspiring environment.
Led by Laurence Hobbs – gold & platinum-selling songwriter, producer, and owner of Safo Music.
What to Expect:
Small group co-writing sessions in professional studios
A relaxed space to share ideas and build confidence
Meet like-minded musicians and discover new collaborators
Personal mentoring and guidance from Laurence Hobbs throughout the day
Working in teams, you’ll co-create original songs from scratch – blending lyrics, melodies, and experiences into something fresh and exciting. It’s all about enjoying the process, learning from each other, and celebrating the art of songwriting.
Bring your instrument, your notebook, or just yourself – and spend the day writing with us.
Spaces are limited to keep sessions intimate – book now to secure your place.

SAFO Music's songwriting day
SAFO MUSIC'S AUTUMN SONGWRITING DAY
### Sunday 25th October | 11:00am – 6:00pm
Could you write a great song in just one day?
After another sold-out workshop, we're excited to announce the next full-day Songwriting Workshop at Safo Music on Sunday 25th October
At our last workshop, every group started with nothing more than a few ideas—and by the end of the day had written and performed a completely original song.
No previous songwriting experience is necessary. Whether you're an experienced songwriter, singer or producer, or you've always wanted to write songs but didn't know where to start, this workshop is designed to help you unlock your creativity in a relaxed, supportive environment.
Working in small groups of 3–4, you'll collaborate with other musicians, develop ideas together, write lyrics, create melodies and build an original song in a real professional recording studio.
🎤 At the end of the day, every group performs their song live—a fantastic opportunity to celebrate what you've created together.
### What you'll get from the day
✔ Learn how successful songs are structured and developed
✔ Write stronger hooks, melodies and lyrics
✔ Collaborate with like-minded musicians and songwriters
✔ Experience a real professional songwriting session
✔ Gain confidence in your songwriting
✔ Leave with a brand new original song
The workshop is led by Gold & Platinum-selling songwriter and producer Laurence Hobbs, who will be there throughout the day helping develop ideas, sharing professional songwriting techniques, and encouraging every group to create the strongest songs possible.
Watch the highlights from our last sold-out workshop and see what people created in just one day.
