YouTube Livestream: Beyond the Frame: Filmmaking with Justin Brunelle
·OnlineOnlineMcBain's and Sony Present a YouTube Livestream: Beyond the Frame: Real-World Filmmaking with Justin Brunelle | Thursday, Nov. 5 | 6:30 PM MDT - YouTube
Filmmaker Justin Brunelle shares expedition documentary lessons on storytelling, gear and capturing the unexpected. How do you turn an unpredictable moment into a scene people care about? Join Edmonton filmmaker Justin Brunelle, founder and producer of Moving Artistry Productions Inc., for a behind-the-scenes look at filmmaking from remote expeditions to commercial sets. Presented by McBain Camera and Sony, this session follows the making of Wings of Survival, a feature-length expedition documentary tracking two endurance athletes across fifteen countries on a 30,000-kilometre journey from Alaska to Patagonia. Through film excerpts, behind-the-scenes footage and firsthand stories, Justin will share how he approaches the moments you can’t script, the conditions you can’t control and the decisions that shape a compelling story.
