Around the Tea Table 🫖 Warm Cup, Open Heart
SF Zen Center, 308 Page St., San Francisco, CA, USSome of life's most meaningful moments happen around a shared table, with something warm in your hands and nowhere else to be.
This event brings together the art of Gong Fu Cha, a centuries-old Chinese tradition of brewing and tasting tea, with soulful conversation, community, and a gentle introduction to mindfulness in everyday life.
Feel the warmth of the cup between your palms. Notice the color of the leaves as they open in the water. Follow the rising steam and the shift in aroma from one pour to the next. Taste the way a single leaf carries an entire landscape.
For us at Soul Seated, this is exactly why we gather: to slow down, return to ourselves, and find a soft place to land together. What to Expect
- An introduction to the history and culture of tea and the gong fu cha tradition
- A guided tasting of loose leaf teas including green, black, oolong, and pu-erh
- A sensory mindful experience where color, aroma, warmth, and taste become the practice of paying attention
- Hands-on brewing where slowing down and noticing becomes the meditation
- Soulful, open conversation about mindfulness, compassion, and how we take care of ourselves and each other
- Warm community and genuine connection over a shared cupYou will explore the history and culture of tea, learn different ways to brew, and taste your way through a curated selection of loose leaf teas such as green, black, oolong, and pu-erh.
