Friendly Reminder to all Members:
1)
*As a courteous member, please always remember to update your RSVP if your status changes. This ensures everyone who wishes to attend an event is able to attend.
Thank you very much for your co-operation; this is greatly appreciated by all group members
Is it right if a member redirects others at your meetup event to somewhere different?
As the organizer or host, you set the itinerary, location, and purpose of the gathering. A member pulling people away undermines your hard work, fragments the group, and can leave confused attendees missing out on the event they actually signed up for.
Why it’s an issue
· Disrespectful to the Host: It hijacks your event and takes advantage of the community you built
· Creates Confusion: Attendees may feel pressured to choose between staying and leaving, which ruins the welcoming vibe
· Liability and Safety: If something happens to attendees at the unvetted alternate location, the host could unfairly bear the brunt of the frustration
