Un-Ghosting: Learning to End Things Better
Details
Sometimes ghosting feels easier than having an uncomfortable conversation.
You lose interest. Something feels off. You realize the connection is not going anywhere. Instead of saying it, you slowly respond less, avoid the conversation, or disappear completely.
But what have our experiences with ghosting taught us about how we want to handle endings?
This conversation continues L: Lessons and Reset in the SOUL Framework. We'll look at the lessons we've learned from being ghosted, ghosting someone else, and navigating endings that were never clearly communicated.
What we'll explore:
- Why people ghost instead of simply saying they're no longer interested
- What you've learned from being on either side of ghosting
- When someone deserves a clear ending, and when silence was the only exit you had
- The difference between a clean ending and a slow fade
- What you still do in new dating because of how a past ending went
You'll leave with:
- A clearer line for when a direct ending is owed
- A smaller way to close something than disappearing
What to expect: This is a peer-led group discussion; there's no formal presentation or coaching. You'll have the chance to reflect, share, and hear from others on similar journeys. Whether you speak up or listen in, you're welcome here.
š„ P.S. For a more engaging experience, we encourage you to turn on your camera during the session! Your privacy is important to us, and all discussions will be handled with the utmost respect and confidentiality.
What's shared in the meeting stays in the meeting. Vegas Rule applies.
