Community Projects are open to the public and your first event is free. To continue participating in a Community Project, you can become a member, starting at $10 per month.

Liquid biopsy is an amazing new technology that can detect tumors at early stages, monitor treatment, and detect a relapse from a blood sample. In this workshop we will leverage a massive cancer database, COSMIC, to develop a PCR assay to detect cancer genes in liquid samples.

So you've heard of DNA, but have you seen it? Come and learn a little about what DNA is and what scientists do with it. At the same time have fun mushing up strawberries and extracting visible blobs of DNA from them that you'll get to take home in a tube. Suitable for anyone age 12 and up. Ideal for total beginners.
