About us
Welcome to the Sound Healing Community SF Bay Area!
This group is for anyone seeking rest, presence, and healing through the power of sound and voice. Rooted in the Ground in Sound practice created by HyeJin Yu (hyejinyu.com), we gather to slow down, tune in, and reconnect with our bodies and spirits through gentle vocal exploration, sound meditation, and intentional stillness. No singing or musical experience is necessary—just an open heart and a willingness to listen.
Each gathering offers a guided journey into the healing landscape of sound. We may hum, tone, chant, breathe, or simply rest in a field of vibration. Using voice, silence, and simple instruments like singing bowls or chimes, we invite the nervous system to settle and the heart to open. These sessions are designed to help you ground, release, and return to your natural rhythm.
This group welcomes all who are curious about sound as a path to inner peace, embodied presence, and soulful connection. Whether you’re new to this work or have experience with meditation, healing arts, or vocal practices, you are warmly invited to join us. Let’s gather, breathe, and sound together.

Ground In Sound Voice and Sound Journey
San Mateo, TBD, CA, US**SPOTS ARE LIMITED — Eventbrite registration is required to reserve your place. If you cannot attend, kindly let us know in advance so another community member may join. Repeated no-shows without notice may affect future participation. Thank you!**
This session invites you into a nourishing arc—beginning with gentle grounding and using our voices to vibrate and awaken our own bodies, preparing ourselves to receive the sound that follows. Then, we’ll move into a reclined sound journey where you’ll be bathed in tones, textures, and spacious stillness. Using vibrational sound instruments such as gong, chimes, bowls, and more, we’ll move from upright presence into deep rest, allowing your voice and the healing vibrations to be both guide and gateway.
The journey will take place INDOORS at a private residence in San Mateo, CA. The exact address will be sent to all registered attendees via email 2 days before the event date. Register here: Eventbrite link
✨ What to bring: Please bring a yoga mat, pillow, blanket, eye mask, or anything else that will help you feel fully supported and comfortable lying down. You’re welcome to bring additional cushions or props as needed.
We’ll begin seated (chairs available) for grounding and voice practices, then transition to lying down for the sound journey, offering your body a chance to soften while sound and vibration carry you inward.
This is a space for gentle release, intuitive exploration, and quiet restoration—a time to remember the medicine of your own sound.
All are welcome. No prior experience with singing or sound work is needed.
If you feel called to support the continuation of these offerings, donations are warmly welcomed—never expected. Your presence is truly a gift.

Voice and Sound Meditation
Hana Holistic, 2107 Channing Way, Berkeley, CA, USRegister at: https://hanaholistic.punchpass.com/classes/18916641
Voice and Sound Meditation is a gentle practice that uses the healing power of the human voice and therapeutic sound instruments to support relaxation, balance, and overall well-being. The session begins with simple vocal practices—toning, mantra chanting, and vocal meditation—designed to open the breath, calm the mind, and awaken the body’s natural resonance. Participants are then immersed in the soothing vibrations of instruments such as Tibetan singing bowls, tuning forks and chimes. These sounds encourage the nervous system to release stress, support mental clarity, and invite a state of deep rest and renewal. Many people leave feeling refreshed, grounded, and more connected to themselves.
Comfortable layered clothing is recommended.
