Come one, come all for my fellow LGBTQIA+ folks! Have you been wanting to make more friends across the pride rainbow? Wanting a safe space to hang out while also getting to try new activities with your future best friends? Then the Sounds gay. I'm in! is right for you!
This group is to meet and have fun with new and interesting people across the LGBTQIA+ spectrum. We'll hold meetups at gay bars, coffee shops, volunteering, and activities! We're open to lots of suggestions for what interests y'all, the goal is provide a safe and fun atmosphere for all.
Let me be perfectly queer- if your excited to get out and make new friends, we can't wait to meet you!

Art & Craft Hangout!

We meet up every other Sunday to hang out in a park coffee shop and do art together. Whether you do painting, drawing, crocheting, digital art, collaging, etc, you are welcome! Even if you don’t feel creative and just want to come and hang out. This is a super low pressure group no one is here to judge your skill level, we’re all just here to do art in community.And if you don’t feel like you are creative or don’t have ideas, there is a great book that some of us follow called 365 Days of Creativity. It is a book by Lorna Scobie featuring 365 prompts (such as “fill the page with patterns” or “draw a sea” etc.). It is available at places like Barnes and Noble or online.
Our location varies so make sure you keep an eye on where we are meeting each week!
Bring any arts or crafts you want to do while we chill!

Tabletop Game & Hobby + Cardboard Corner
TableTop Game & Hobby, 9156 Metcalf Avenue, Overland Park, KS, USMINIMUM ATTENDANCE/CANCELLATIONS: Unless we get 6+ RSVPs (not including "+1s") each time, I will look to cancel these by 8 PM the day before and just look to the next month. Otherwise we will struggle to run more than 1 game at a time. 2+ games gives more options, greater game selection consensus and enjoyment. Same goes if the weather forecast looks poor/roads dangerous.
TO FIND US: going forward, I will bring a stand to hold a sign that says "Meetup Group" on it to help locate us as name tags alone haven't proven enough due to how full it gets. I aim to sit on the CC side, but if full, also check the tables next door, between CC and TT G&H.
WHAT TO EXPECT: Buy (Tabletop G & H is next door), borrow (free to play games on site) or bring and play some games! Order food there while you play.
Will aim for up to 3 hours, but stay as long as you like. A rule lite, social, "warm up game" will probably be the first offering in the first 15-30 minutes, something easy to join and explain. It will help ease us into deeper games and allows late arrivals to hop in with less disruption.
