Art & Craft Event: 365 Days of Creativity

Details

Let's get creative! Weather permitting, we will meet at Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City this week. They have a great outdoor space, so bring a chair or blanket because seating is limited. Bring your knitting, journal, sketchbook, or any other art and craft project to work on. Feel free to join us even if you don't have the 365 Days of Creativity book.

Parking: Free Parking is available along Oak Street, in the parking lot behind the museum (45th and Rockhill), or on the street next to the parking lot on Rockhill.

Where to meet: Meet us at the bottom of the steps facing the entrance. I'll be sporting my Kansas City Public Library tote bag.

Other details: This is an every-other-week event where we work on and share prompts from the book 365 Days of Creativity. This book by Lorna Scobie features 365 prompts (such as "fill the page with patterns," "draw a sea," "color the rainbow," etc.). Follow the link to purchase a copy (~$15).

Our meeting location might vary, so stay tuned to the comments for updates.

If you have time, check out this Ted Talk on creativity: The case for making art when the world is on fire by Amie McNee.
