Gardner's Pride parade was my first and 1 of 2 in my 2nd year attending Pride parades. Last year I was at KCMO Pride and I attended Lawrence this year as well. It will be interesting coming full circle to this one, and I know some people attending that I will be working a booth with in the afternoon. Despite being a smaller city, the turnout was surprisingly large for its size back then and that was early on. Now the venue has been upgraded. Stay as long as you want, but consider joining in the parade/march and hanging out a little after. Bring an umbrella to have shade against the Sun as this is late June so it's likely to be hot and intense for the outdoor portion. The is mention of yard games on the website and some snacks, drinks to purchase. Some drag entertainers too. Raffle drawings for prizes.

More than anything bring your cheer for a couple hours and we'll make the most of this little social mixer.

IMPORTANT NOTICES: the Gardner Road entrance & exit to/from I-35 is undergoing long term reconstruction so look to use the 175th St. exit. You also are supposed to get a ticket to attend (save the QR code you get from that) but it's free! Link for that and more here:

How to find each other: I will be the tall redhead with curly, short locks. I will wear a yellow, sleeveless top and carry a large pride flag too.
