Phlegler Estate (from Skyline) w/ Alices Restaurant
Details
Skyline Trail to Lonely Trail and Raymundo Trail to Phlegler Estate forms an Approximately 7 mile 1400' Elevation gain lollipop loop.
Phleger Estate is a gorgeous swath of second-growth redwoods in the Santa Cruz Mountains just west of Silicon Valley. It's a remote section of Golden Gate National Recreation Area that gets few visitors, making it a prime getaway if you need a break from civilization. This route starts on Skyline Boulevard, AKA Highway 35.
Please note that this hike starts downhill and then the second half is back uphill.
Parking is free in a smattering of lots on the west side of Highway 35 . This hike is almost perfect, except for parking. There are about 8-10 spaces in the small lot (shown on the map). Parking is allowed on Skyline Rd., but be careful to pull completely off the pavement. BE VERY CAREFUL CROSSING THE ROAD AS CARS AND MOTORCYCLES TEND TO SPEED.
Better yet, carpool with your fellow hikers to maximize our parking options.

The IOPQ will be : What is your least favorite food?
