Palo Alto Foothills Park with Local Union 271 & Neon Velvet at Rock the Dock

Steep Hollow and Los Trancos trails form an approx. 7mile loop with 1446’ elevation gain. A rare opportunity to add to your bridge crossing total as we cross over 20 (count em) bridges. About 80% shaded but bring that sunscreen anyway.
There are restrooms by the trailhead.

$6 fee paid at the entrance, then head towards the Lee Grove and Orchard Picnic Areas at Fire Horse Fire Road and park in one of the many lots near the picnic area. We will meet up near trailhead.

After the hike, let’s head into Palo Alto proper for lunch at Local Union 271 (Local Union 271, 271 University Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94301), where civilized debate over the actual number of bridges crossed is encouraged.
