Beat The Heat, Point Lobos & Tarpy's Roadhouse

While folks in the South Bay will be dealing with temps in the 80s let's trek down to Point Lobos and some cool ocean breezes. Beautiful ocean views, plentiful wildlife, and multiple restrooms! What's not to love?! The Point Lobos Loop trail is billed as a moderate (but for us probably easy) 6.3 mile loop and 666 ft of elevation gain. There is an optional extra mile we can add on toward the end through pine forest if we are so inclined. This hike starts on Route 1 just outside of the entrance to Point Lobos. Since all of the lots are fairly small, this is the most convenient choice for us all to meet up in any event.
