This route will have us walking on a combination of beach, trails along the shore, and city streets. We will visit Old Fisherman's Wharf and El Estero Park, the Municipal Wharf and Cannery Row. There will almost certainly be seals sighted as well as otters. You will build up a nice appetite on this 8 mile trek! Luckily we will be ending it at [Fishwife](https://fishwife.com/) where we can enjoy a yummy lunch in their extensive outdoor seating area. After lunch **we will need to Uber back to our cars** so bring extra cash for splitting the rideshare fee. Optionally a couple of drivers can come early, drop off passengers & drive to Fishwife leaving a car there for transporting drivers back after the hike. (Let me know if you are willing to do this.)

We will leave from a small free parking lot: Monterey Peninsula Recreational Trail Parking (google address: Del Monte / Navy School Gate, Monterey, CA 93940) 1937 Del Monte Ave, Monterey GPS 36.600212, -121.874650. If the lot is full proceed to the paid lot farther on, also on the right hand side of Del Monte Ave. Comment in the event chat and wait for us there.
