Once upon a time, in a land far far way there was an enchanted forest........ Is it just the stuff of fairy tales or does one actually exist just a short drive away?
Baldwin Loop, Enchanted , Eucalyptus, Twin Oaks, Wilder Ridge , and Baldwin Trails form a 7.7mile, less than 1200' Elevation gain loop,
The weather is predicted to be a pleasant 62-72 degrees during our hiking hours, so don't forget the sunscreen and sunhats. The usual tic and poison oak precautions apply. Relatively gradual inclines and declines with a short steep section in and out of Enchanted Forest.
I don't believe there are any restrooms near this lot but there are restrooms at the Wilder Ranch Dairy Parking lot about a half mile before you get to our meetup location.
The 4 mile parking lot, as shown in the map, is across Highway 1 from the Baldwin trailhead.

But humans do not live by enchantment alone brudda, so why hurry home and eat leftovers when you can imagine yourself in Maui at 221 Cathcart, Santa Cruz and enjoy great food?

The IOPQ this week is: "What is your favorite quote ?” (i.e., go for it, a stitch in time saves nine, Idle mind is the devil's workshop, life is like a box of chocolates, etc.)
ATTENDANCE: If you are signed up for a hike, or on the waitlist, please remove yourself to the "not going " list as soon as you become unsure about attending, so another waitlister can have adequate notice that they are going. Hikers who violate these policies will have that information noted on their permanent record, and their parents may be notified.
