This rolling hills loop hike has a 1270' elevation gain over its aprox 8.29 mile length. We’ll start at the McAbee trailhead and hike up the Senador Mine Trail, Guadalupe Trail, Randol Trail, New Almaden , Cinnebar, back to Mine Hill trail and then finally back to the safety of our parked cars. The trails are a mix of shaded and unshaded, so use that sun block or a really cool hat. Great views of the valley and water in Guadalupe Reservoir.
There are restrooms a short .2 of a mile from where we will meet up.
While there is not a parking lot at this location, the surrounding neighborhood has plentiful street parking. Please be respectful, don't block driveways , drag race, blare rap music, or conduct sideshows on these peaceful streets.

The weather gods are currently forecasting NO rain during our hiking hours, w/temps in the 60's. Unless that changes to "an atmospheric river", the hike will go forth.
Now I don't know about you, but after a hike like this, my tail starts wagging over the thought of a feed bowl at Lazy Dog Restaurant, 5305 Almaden Expressway, San Jose. I guarantee you won't go back to Alpo.
The IOPQ this week is: What was your favorite toy when you were young. (Websters defines young as under 40) ?
