Torrance Beach Cleanup & Environmental Data Initiative

Join us for a community-led coastal cleanup and environmental data collection event at Torrance Beach, organized by the South Bay Coastal Environmental Intelligence Initiative (SB-CEII).
This event is part of an ongoing initiative focused on recurring beach cleanups, pollution tracking, and data-driven environmental insights to support coastal protection and resilience in the South Bay.

### 🌊 What We’ll Do

• Conduct a structured beach cleanup
• Collect and categorize trash data
• Document pollution patterns for long-term analysis
• Engage in community-driven environmental action

This cleanup is self-directed and community-organized, conducted with support from the Heal the Bay Adopt-A-Beach Program, which provides guidance and official data reporting tools.

10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Please arrive a few minutes early for a brief safety and task overview.

### 👥 Who Can Join

• Adults (18+)
• No prior experience required
• All backgrounds welcome

### 🧤 What to Bring

• Reusable gloves (if you have them)
• Water and sun protection
• Closed-toe shoes

Trash bags will be provided. Please bring reusable gloves if you have them. A brief safety and task overview will be given at the start of the event.
