What we’re about
This group is for those who love to get out and explore with their cameras during all different times of the day and seasons. South Bay Photo Walks and Hikes will mostly be from easy, moderate to intermediate-level trails so we can spend time stopping for images. Any advanced-level hikes will be clearly outlined for participants. South Bay Photo Walks and Hikes will mostly be focused on nature-related photo walks but we will occasionally do some street photography trips or other interesting photogenic opportunities too!
This group is here to help support your photography interests by providing photogenic journeys and I hope that you will enjoy the experiences I have put together to share with you!
Most all local events will be FREE; though some events may have fundraising fees to cover the costs for meetup subscriptions, educational reference materials and content provided by the host, renting a venue, hiring a guide, getting permits etc. These details will be clearly detailed in every event description. Also, tipping your host to show appreciation for their time spent researching these event opportunities is welcomed. Occasionally, an event may be free, but the member would have to pay for their own entrance ticket, parking fees etc. I will try my best to anticipate such costs and include these details in the event descriptions.
South Bay Photo Walks and Hikes Policies:
1. Members will be removed from the group for not having and maintaining a clear profile image of themselves for safety reasons.
2. Members will also be removed from the group for more than 3+ no-shows for not outreaching or updating their RSVP status to make room for others who are interested in actually attending since these events have a headcount limit. Thank you for your understanding on these matters.
3. All members/participants agree to assume 100% responsibility for their own safety, conduct, and well-being and recognize that possible hazards exist while participating in outdoor (or any other) activities, and agree to participate solely at their own risk.
4. All members/participants agree to enter into this liability waiver in which you hereby release any rights or claims to pursue that any type of accident, injury or damages is the host's fault and/or the fault of any partners, associates or members and do hereby discharge now and forever any occurrence at the location(s), surrounding areas or traveling to and from locations on the day of this event.
By your RSVP “Yes” and/or attending any of our events, it shall be conclusively presumed that you understand and agree to these policies.
