This month, we will be discussing the 2025 released novel by Alka Joshi. She has also authored a trilogy - The Henna Artist, The secret keeper of Jaipur, and The Perfumist.

Six Days in Bombay is a historical fiction inspired by the life of painter Amrita Sher-Gil. The story follows Sona, a half-Indian nurse in 1937 Bombay, who becomes entangled in the mysterious death of a famous painter, Mira Novak, after Mira's stay in her hospital ward. Sona embarks on a journey across Europe to deliver Mira's paintings, uncovering secrets about the artist and herself along the way, exploring themes of identity, class, and belonging.
