Night at the Museum

Join us for a free art opening and artist talk at New Bedford Art Museum on Thursday, September 10th from 6-8pm. Reserve your free ArtTalk ticket here. (Ignore the “ticket” feature of Meetup—it is not connected to registration for the artist talk with the museum.)

Artist talk: Rhode Island based artist Tom Deininger. He has 723,000 Instagram followers for a reason. Tom's sculptures combine his love for the natural world and environmental concerns with his passion for painting and sculpture by constructing found object assemblages that address issues of mass consumerism and the disposable materials that we use briefly and cast aside. The talk is from 6-7:30pm.

Art opening: AgriCultural - a Biennial Exhibition. This is a juried exhibition of works investigating the complex and undertold stories of agriculture, farming and the contemporary stories held in the land. AgriCultural includes work from artists who are farmers, farmers who are artists, or artists that take deep and meaningful inspiration from the world of agriculture to create their work. The show includes a painting by your Meetup host (who is not a farmer). The opening is from 6-8pm.
