Please join us at Perry's Pizza or Jake's BrewPub for the South Denver Euchre Club! Euchre is a fun and easy to learn card game!

If you're from the Midwest chances are you've heard or played Euchre! Pronounced (You-ker) it's a four-player trump game, where in players are paired to form two partnerships. Partners face each other from across the table so that the play of the cards in conventional clockwise order alternates between the two partnerships. Conventional euchre uses a deck of 24 standard playing cards consisting of A, K, Q, J, 10, and 9 of each of the four suits. When a suit is named trump, the jack of that suit is highest-ranking card in euchre (called 'The Right Bower' or 'Right') then the other Jack of the same color, (called 'The Left Bower' or 'Left'). The cards are ranked, in descending order, J (of trump suit) J (same color as trump suit) A, K, Q, 10, and 9 of the trump suit. You try to earn tricks (or hands) by out trumping your opponents. You can easily learn or relearn (if you haven't played in awhile) Euchre by downloading an app to your phone!

We will meet and play in a casual atmosphere. Single players and beginners are welcome. Please RSVP so we may have a head count for the Round Robin tournament as we need tables of 4. You will rotate partners after so many hands to keep the game fair, social and exciting!
