About us
Southdowns Strolllers
NB - We are still at capacity, so will not be accepting any more membership applications for the year through to the end of 2026 . We will review this if circumstances change and amend this notice if that is the case.
Social.Tuesday.Hiking
We are an inclusive, friendly, & sociable midweek walking group based on the south downs. Our walks are accessible by public transport & conducted at an inclusive pace. We aim to enjoy the scenery, exercise and the company, not compete in a race.
We normally walk on Tuesdays, with an average walk length of 5 to 7.5 miles (8-12km), with an occasional longer hike. Additionally, we organise an annual London walk, as well as one or two night hikes a year.
Well behaved dogs are always very welcome and are valued members of our group.

Our Ethos
We are an inclusive social hiking group with walkers of all abilities, fitness levels, and health statuses, whose walks are accessible by public transport.
We walk at an inclusive but moderate pace & like to stay together. Should we concertina, we will regather, allowing people to get their breath back before moving on, particularly on the climbs.
Please treat others as you would wish to be treated yourself.
There is ONE walk leader per walk to avoid confusion.
We run group walks, we start together, walk together, lunch together & finish together.
