Distance - 5 miles
Starting outside the front of Newhaven Library on the High Street.
( Newhaven Town train station 10 mins walk, buses and free parking nearby)
This is a circular walk with downland ,sea and harbour views.
We will cross the A259 and walk up Church Hill ( quite steep) and go over Rushy Hill to Peacehaven. Then follow the cliff path back towards Newhaven passing the Coastguard Station and Newhaven Fort stopping for a short break on the way. Finally we will drop down to the West Quay where we can eat a packed lunch on benches by the side of the harbour . Finishing with a short walk along the West Quay path back to the town centre. Mamoosh cafe is also an option after the walk for refreshments and is a short walk away over rhe bridge.
Important Warning
