What we’re about

The South Jersey Land & Water Trust (SJLWT) is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to preserve and protect the land and water resources of southern New Jersey.
Join us for monthly walks in the woods, community cleanups, staff-led stream assessments, habitat restoration plantings, and educational workshops.

Join us on a guided walk through Estell Manor Park where we’ll see many different orchid species. We’ll keep an eye out for the yellow fringed orchid, white fringed orchid, bicolor fringed orchid, green woodlands orchid, cranefly orchid and rattlesnake orchid. Bring your cameras so you can capture the unique beauty of these lovely flowers!

Freedom Pier, Gloucester City , NJ
We are thrilled to invite you to join us on the Gloucester City's Tall Ship the Schooner North Wind! Enjoy an evening sail along the Delaware River from 6:00pm-8:00pm while tasting select wine and cheeses. As we move along the Delaware River learn the history of the area and look for wildlife that calls the river home. Space is limited to 30 tickets so we recommend you act fast!
We ask all passengers to arrive no later than 5:45pm as we will leave the dock promptly at 6:00pm and return at 8:00pm. After your sail we invite our guests to take advantage of a 15% off coupon available at one of three local restaurants to continue your night. Enjoy a dinner at either Max's Seafood Cafe (reservations are recommended), Vitale's Italian Bistro, or The Bank Bar. Make sure to pick up your voucher for 15% off your meal (drinks at the bar are not included) between 5:30pm - 5:45pm before we set sail.

Join us as we walk along the Maurice River and learn about the history and wildlife in the area. Make sure to keep an eye out for the bald eagles that live there!

Needs location
Come join us at Hidden Lake and help restore some beauty to this secretive gem. After the cleanup enjoy a nature hike and learn the history of the area as well as look for migrating birds and rare plants.
