Let's try all different kinds of foods & different kinds of restaurants south of I-480 (OR NOT) for breakfast, lunch, or dinner!
- • We DINE both NORTH and SOUTH of 480 -- you don't have to LIVE south of 480! If we dine NORTH of 480, we used to call it a PASSPORT TRIP, but no 'real passports' are required -- it's just a play on words!
- • Reservations are made and/or confirmed the morning (before noon) of the event. Please have your RSVP updated. If you aren't sure about attending an event, it's always best to say NO then contact me closer to the start time to be added as a YES.
- • Please be mindful of the servers working with our large groups. Fifteen percent is the minimum one should tip. Many times the establishment will automatically add in an 18% - 20% tip because of the size of our group. I most often tip 20%.
- • Try to bring cash just in case the restaurant gives us a hard time about having separate checks & we all want to use a credit card.
- • Sometimes we will have an hour "lee way" on your arrival time, meaning, we will start the event at 6 p.m. at the BAR of the restaurant (if they have one) for a drink and maybe catch the tail end of a happy hour that they may offer. If you arrive early, please do not go directly to the table. If there isn't an announcement about a happy hour, please arrive within 15 minutes of the start time.
- • If you arrive early, please wait in the lobby or the bar area so we can all sit down together at the starting time. Many establishments will NOT seat our party unless 80-95% of us are there. If you are late, keep in mind that it will hold up the entire group from sitting down to eat.
- • If there is ever an emergency that you need to contact me, email me from the meetup site or post a comment in the event, as I have a smart phone and can check it at all times.
- • Finally, if you RSVP yes to events but don't show up TWO times, I will remove you from the group. I welcome you to re-join the group whenever you have more time in your schedule . . . so don't worry--I won't block you! We are just trying to get a mature/serious group of people that are courteous about reservations being made at restaurants.

Photos are taken at most events, with the intent to post them to the South of I-480 Cleveland Dining Out Group's site on Meetup.com. By joining this group, you acknowledge this fact and allow photos to be posted of you and any guests that you bring to the event. We are not responsible for anyone's actions in Meetup and recommend you leave our group if you are not happy with others or their actions that may arise. We strive to be a happy group of like minded individuals and certainly do not want others to be unhappy. Drinking & driving is not recommended and is at your own risk and not the responsibility of the South of I-480 Cleveland Dining Out Meetup group or meetup. Please call a taxi, Uber or have a friend drive you home!
