Thursday morning group walk - Tacoma waterfront to Point Ruston

Come walk with us! Please arrive early as the walk starts promptly at 10 am. Well-behaved, leashed dogs welcome with cleanup (but not in Curran Coffee).

We start at Curran Coffee then head down a steep hill to walk along Ruston Way. This walk is along the Tacoma waterfront to the Point Ruston area, passing parks and restaurants. Chose to walk 10K (6.2 miles) or 5K (3.1 miles) or even longer. Mostly paved surfaces and mostly flat terrain.

This walk is hosted by the Capitol Volkssport Club. Everyone is welcome, but everyone must sign the waiver to participate. Club members do not usually sign up using Meetup, but you can expect between five and 10 club members on a Thursday walk. This walk is run by a different club, which charges $3 per participant. Cash only.

This walk is difficult for strollers and wheelchairs due to steep hill to the waterfront (however the hill can be avoided by driving and parking at the bottom of the hill and then meeting the group at the corner of McCarver St. and Ruston Way).
