Come walk with us! Please arrive early to register as the walk starts promptly at 10 am.
There are two versions of the 10K (6.2 mile) walk--one has some hills and a mix of paved surfaces and rough forest trails, while the other is flat and mostly on paved surfaces. There is also a 5K (3.1 mile) option that is flat and mostly on paved surfaces. Strollers and wheelchairs will have difficulty on the forest trails. Well-behaved, leashed dogs permitted with owner clean up.
This walk is hosted by the Capitol Volkssport Club. Everyone is welcome, but everyone must sign the waiver to participate. Club members do not usually sign up using Meetup, but you can expect between five and 10 club members on a Thursday walk. The club has costs to put on these walks, so we ask for a donation to help cover our costs.
