University Place Walk 5/10/12K

There is a 5, 10, and 12 km route. We will walk on sidewalks and paved paths through mostly residential areas. The 10/12 K routes go past the Curran Apple Orchard, Chambers Bay Golf Course, and the Tacoma Cemetery. The 5K walkers will drive to their start point at Chambers Bay Regional Park.

Rain or shine, we walk. This is AVA walk #1639. The 10/12 K walks are rated a 2A for some hills. The 12K takes the path down to the water and around the golf course then back up to the top while the 10K stays at the top of the golf course. The 5K walk is rated 1A for flat walking and you will need to drive to the start after registering.

The walk starts promptly at 10 am so be sure to arrive early to have time to register and use the restrooms.

Everyone must register before the walk. Because Evergreen Wanderers, the hosting club, has not increased their YRE fees, IVV participants will pay $3.00 and other participants have a suggested donation of $3.00. Donations to help pay for meetup costs and walk box information are always welcome.
