Come walk with us on a lovely area with Puget Sound, island, and Nisqually River views. Possible wildlife. Sorry, no pets allowed. The course is 10K (6.2 mile) or a 5K (3.1 mile) option. The route is essentially flat but almost entirely on gravel trails or boardwalks. Arrive early to register and then drive a short distance to the Refuge, because the walk leaves the visitor center promptly at 10 am. The refuge charges an entrance fee of $3 but is free for Golden Eagle, Age, Access, or Federal Duck Stamp holders and anyone with an annual pass.

This walk is hosted by the Capitol Volkssport Club. Everyone is welcome, but everyone must sign the waiver to participate. This walk is owned by a different club that charges $3 per participant. Cash only. Club members do not usually sign up using Meetup, but you can expect between five and 10 club members on a Thursday walk.
