South Valley Guitar Orchestra will be rehearsing in the big meeting room at Millcreek Library on Wednesday, April 8 Doors open for socializing, setting up, and tuning guitars at 2:30 pm. If you park on the east side the large meeting room is just to your left as you enter the building.

Our Wednesday plan:

(1) We'll first go through the "Scale Practice" in Practice Routine I. In these routines please pay special attention to the "Dynamics" of establishing forte and piano and transitioning between crescendi and diminuendi.

(2) Then we'll quickly go through our all of the pieces in our repertoire: Guitar Quartet for 2002, Finlandia, and Gymnopédie No.1 so please bring all of your music.

(3) Music Director Sergio Frias expects that we can learn the complete quartet parts for Cielito Lindo in one sitting. It's really fun! (listen https://youtu.be/7j-c6akqxTQ).

If this is your first time please feel welcome to sit with any section of choice (Guitar 1, Guitar 2, Guitar 3, or Guitar 4). Please join our public Google Group for access to the music we practice and more information.
