What differentiates humanism from simple atheism is attention to ethics: trying to live a good life. But how can we know what's right and wrong? The evening will be based on the ethics session from the "One Life" course on humanism, providing an opportunity to discuss questions around this fundamental issue. What ethical positions have we evolved and why? Can we be objective about them? Are humanists guilty of moral relativism? Is the ‘pursuit of happiness’ a good moral guide?
