🌳 Grounding — Walking & Moving Meditation in Nature

Sunday 6 September | Itchen Valley Country Park

Come and join us for a gentle Sunday walk where we explore grounding, presence and moving meditation in nature. 🌿

You don’t need to know how to meditate, and you don’t need to sit still to practise meditation.

Our time together will be about slowing down, stepping away from everyday life and bringing our attention back to our bodies, our breath and the natural world around us.

What we’ll do

We’ll begin by coming together and settling into the space before heading out for a relaxed walk.

Along the way we’ll explore:

👣 Mindful walking — noticing our footsteps, our bodies and the ground beneath us.

🌿 Connecting with nature — using our senses to become more aware of what is around us.

🌀 Moving meditation — gentle, intuitive movement where there is no choreography and no right or wrong way to move. Simply allowing the body to move in whatever way feels natural.

🌬️ Grounding practices — simple exercises to help us slow down and become more present.

💬 Connection & reflection — time to chat, meet others and share anything we noticed during the experience.

The walk will be relaxed rather than strenuous, with plenty of opportunities to pause, take in our surroundings and simply be.

🌱 The idea behind Walking & Moving Meditation

Meditation doesn’t have to mean sitting quietly with your eyes closed.

Walking can be meditation. Movement can be meditation. Being in nature can be meditation.

When we bring our attention to what we’re experiencing in the present moment, we’re already practising mindfulness.

There is no performance, no experience required and no pressure to do anything that doesn’t feel comfortable.

Come as you are. ❤️

You can come alone or bring a friend or family member. Everyone is welcome.
