Crystal Springs

NOTE: This hike was moved from April 11 to June 6 with the original attendees. If you cannot make this date, please remove yourself. If you are pulled from the waitlist, you must DM Julie your email and your full name (if you don’t use your first and last name in your profile) no later than 1 week prior to the hike, as this information is required by the PUC. If not, you will be removed from the hike.

10 miles, 1200 feet elevation gain.

We will meet just outside of Skylawn Memorial Gardens and caravan to the starting location.

This will be a docent led hike on the Fifield Cahill Ridge Trail. We will be led by a volunteer docent from the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission on the Fifield Cahill Ridge Trail. The first 2 miles is mostly uphill, but winds through a neat cypress forest. Then it is mostly flat - for as long as we like. If we hike to mile marker 8 we will be rewarded with beautiful views of the ocean. We can also turn back shy of that, and we’d still get great views of the watershed and bay.
