What we’re about
The purpose of this Meetup group serves to organize rehearsals, concert schedules and communications for active and interested members of the Mt. Pleasant Symphony.
We are presently seeking string players (violin, viola, cello and bass), bassoon, French Horns, tuba and bass trombone. Vacancies do come open in other positions, so please contact us if you are proficient in an instrument and are interested in becoming a member of our orchestra. We do ask for a commitment to participate in most rehearsals, which are on Thursday evenings from 7pm-9pm. We give four concerts per year.
Established in Charleston, South Carolina, in 1995, the Mt. Pleasant Symphony (formerly the Southcoast Symphony) is composed of professional and amateur musicians from Charleston and the Lowcountry. Our mission is to provide affordable symphony orchestra concerts to the public and provide a creative outlet for local musicians to share their talents with the community. <br>
