We're all about meeting new people and making friends with plenty of fun & laughter along the way. We mostly achieve this while socialising over a few drinks in the best bars and pubs, or perhaps dancing the night away with a DJ, live band or tribute act, 🎶 💃
Whether its a free casino tribute evening (with DJ after), a 70s/80s night or a Karaoke evening you'll be guaranteed a brilliant time with like minded singles.
We also run occasional day trips, overnighters and longer breaks - all are lively and fun and offer timetabled sightseeing with pubs, meals and bar stops along the way - it's a great way to relax, socialise and get to know others 🍻🍴

Unlike other groups, all our events are well organised, highly reliable and properly hosted. We'll be ready to meet and greet you at the exact spot and time we say, have a chat and introduce you to others.

After attending two events, if you like us, appreciate our efforts and would like to come along to more of our events, our ONCE OFF joining fee is just £19.99.
We are all volunteers and freely give up our spare time. Your joining fee is much appreciated and helps towards our annual bill from meetup.com and other running expenses. "We do all the hard work and make it happen, all you have to do is turn up and enjoy"

◼️NEW APPLICATIONS...
New membership is only open to single, unattached people in the Essex area who are happy to supply a good profile photo of just themselves and are aged 40-62 at time of joining.
◼️RSVP (RULES)...
Your RSVP to an event means that we will be expecting you. Anyone who turns up unexpectedly (without an RSVP) or clocks-up multiple no-shows or lastminute cancellations will gain a reputation for being inconsiderate and unreliable and may be deleted from the group.
◼️BE FRIENDLY (RULES)...
Anyone who acts inappropriately or is unfriendly, argumentative or disrespectful (especially towards the organisers who give their time freely) will be deleted from the group.
NOTE: In line with meetup.com guidelines, group organisers have the right to deny or terminate memberships at their discretion (a reason would be provided).

I've chosen the Exchange in Southchurch as they offer a great atmosphere, good food, entertainment, dancing and we will have the entire restaurant to ourselves...... all night. There's also the bar where we can get drinks at any time (pay as you go), and they are providing a DJ, just for us ! 🎄🎅🏻🥂💃🏻
Drinks at Bar: 7pm-7:30pm
Sit-Down: 7:30pm
Meal: 7:30pm-9:30pm

Our long established tradition is to see in the New Year at the Genting Casino, and this year we plan to do the same.The evening starts at 830pm, for a spectacular evening of entertainment, drinks and dancing at The Genting Club. For those who've not been here, don't miss out, come and join us! It's smart, glitzy, has a large bar area, stage and dance floor and a good mixture of ages.
Therefore once again we will be doing it in style at the Genting Casino in Westcliff with friends old and new. So come and join us and see in the New Year at this awesome venue.

✪ PARKING ✪There are ample public spaces along the seafront either side of the casino (usually free after 6pm - please check). The spaces directly outside the casino are free for any member visiting the casino after 7pm (but not overnight).

✪ WHO CAN ATTEND? ✪Members of our group may attend with an RSVP.
As I have negotiated discounted tickets to this event, only members who have attended at least 1 event in the last 6 months will be able to join us. This is to prioritise the tickets for members we have met previously, as its nice to know people, even if only a little bit.
Unexpected strangers, non-members, guests or couples will not be able to join us. But don't worry if you are a newer member, there is still plenty of time to come along to some of our events and get to know us first.

✪ HOW TO PAY ✪On this page, Click "RSVP" to say you are going (or maybe "PAY NOW"). This takes you to paypal where you can quickly pay by debit or credit card even if you don't have a paypal account.
You will be asked to pay £16 of which paypal take around £1 in fees (they don't work for free).
No need to say you have paid, your name+face showing on this page as an RSVP is enough for us all to know :)

✪ REFUNDS ✪Your ticket is not refundable if you do not turn up or if you do not cancel by 6pm on Friday 19th May.
Apart from that, your ticket is refundable if somebody else pays for a ticket after you have cancelled, all tickets have been bought and all cancellations before yours have been filled. To cancel, simply change your RSVP to NO.
To claim your refund, message me (Pippa) and I'll arrange to pay you in cash (avoids paypal fees) when we meet at your next event.

✪ WHY PAYPAL ✪Meetups RSVP system via Paypal is fully automatic, which means I don't have to spend time reconciling peoples payments in my bank and paypal accounts and updating RSVPs manually. Thank you for your understanding.

✪ MEETING SPOT & TIME ✪We'll meet at the large bar which is closest to the dance floor and stage, (not the smaller bar by the main entrance) at 1330 to grab a quick drink then head to our seats in front of the stage where we have our own tables booked.
Your hosts will be standing around here from 1330 ready to meet and greet everybody. If you'd like to have a chat and get to know others then please arrive soon after 1330 as conversation and introductions can be difficult once the entertainment begins, and we all start eating !
