🍷 Welcome... If you're single, sociable, aged 40-59, living in Essex and interested in joining our group, then please read on...
We're all about meeting new people and making friends with plenty of fun & laughter along the way. We mostly achieve this while socialising over a few drinks in the best bars and pubs, or perhaps dancing the night away with a DJ, live band or tribute act, 🎶 💃
Whether its a free casino tribute evening (with DJ after), a 70s/80s night or a Karaoke evening you'll be guaranteed a brilliant time with like minded singles.
We also run day trips, overnighters and longer breaks through the year, all are lively and fun and offer timetabled sightseeing with pubs, meals and bar stops along the way - it's a great way to relax, socialise and get to know others 🍻🍴

Unlike other groups, all our events are well organised, highly reliable and properly hosted. We'll be ready to meet and greet you at the exact spot and time we say, have a chat and introduce you to others.

After attending two events, if you like us, appreciate our efforts and would like to come along to more of our events, our ONCE OFF joining fee is just £16.
We are all volunteers and freely give up our spare time. Your joining fee is much appreciated and helps towards our annual bill from meetup.com and other running expenses. "We do all the hard work and make it happen, all you have to do is turn up and enjoy"

PS: We are not a dating website, we are a social group for singles who want to meet new people and have some fun by coming along to events IN REAL LIFE.
New membership is only open to single, unattached people in the Essex area who are happy to supply a good profile photo of just themselves and are aged 40-59 at time of joining.

Your RSVP to an event means that we will be expecting you. Anyone who turns up unexpectedly (without an RSVP) or clocks-up multiple no-shows or lastminute cancellations will gain a reputation for being inconsiderate and unreliable and may be deleted from the group.
◼️BE FRIENDLY (RULES)...
Anyone who acts inappropriately or is unfriendly or disrespectful (especially towards the organisers who give their time freely) will be deleted from the group.

Please come and join us for an evening of games, canapés and live jazz music at the Grosvenor Casino, with this talented 4 piece jazz band.
The evening starts with free canapés sampling their new menu, (be early to make sure you don't miss out), dice games to win free drinks and roulette vouchers, followed by live entertainment.
They are also holding a "Best Dressed" competition. First place will get a bottle of bubbly! The guidelines for the competition are roaring 20s or modern jazz, dress to impress.
So put on your glad rags... and come and join us for an amazing evening.Jazz is a music genre that originated in the African-American communities of New Orleans, Louisiana, in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, with its roots in blues, ragtime, European harmony and African rhythmic rituals. Since the 1920s Jazz Age, it has been recognized as a major form of musical expression in traditional and popular music.
Jazz is characterized by swing and blue notes, complex chords and improvisation. So join us for an evening to enjoy!
Afterwards, their resident DJ will be performing who starts his set with favourite hits from the 80s, 90s plus a bit of pop and rock, Soul, Motown and much more so we can continue partying into the early hours 💃🕺

✪ ABOUT THE GROSVENOR ✪If you are not a member then you need ID to enter. It is easy and free to join, and registration is quick and easy at the reception desk. It takes under 5 mins but you MUST bring some photo ID (eg: passport or driving licence).

Your hosts will be standing around here from 8:30pm ready to meet and greet everybody. We'll have tables reserved in my name.

✪ HOW TO PAY ✪
On this page, Click "RSVP" to say you are going (or maybe "PAY NOW"). This takes you to paypal where you can quickly pay by debit or credit card even if you don't have a paypal account.
You will be asked to pay £5.50 in order to secure your place. The fee includes a £5 deposit and is paid to the pub to book the table, and Paypal take around 50p in fees (they don't work for free). You will also be charged a fee by Meet up of 3.7% + £1.25 as well. They do not work for free either. The total will show when you pay. If you would rather avoid all the fees, you are welcome to give me £5 cash when you see me, and I will manually add you to the event.
There is no need to say you have paid. Your name + face showing on this page as an RSVP is enough for us all to know :)
The final bill will be settled on the day.
All our meals are CASH ONLY to make things quick and easy for your hosts. At the end, we get one big bill. No other drinks or food (outside of the Bottomless Brunch menu) can be added to our bill.Please ensure you bring CASH to settle the remaining £28 (£33 minus your £5 deposit) + £3 discretionary tip which will be added to the bill, (they will no doubt have earned this looking after our drink demands!)

Join us for an evening of music with the amazing band, The Mint, at the brilliant venue, the Exchange in Southchurch to help celebrate Sheila's birthday.
The Mint are a Mod Covers Band and they play great music from 60's Mod bands up to 90's Brit Pop bands. Their influences include Paul Weller, The Who, The Small Faces, The Jam, Blur, Oasis, Ocean Colour Scene....and anything with a mod vibe !!!

The Exchange is a unique building, bursting with character, thanks to its interesting financial history. In a previous life, it operated as a Barclay’s Bank, before the building was bought at auction in 2002. The venue has since been developed into a modern, fresh pub for the local community. The Exchange celebrates this financial history through its name, and we’re making genius use of the original bank vault as our beer cellar!
If you have not experienced this venue before, its a great lively pub with a good atmosphere, so why not join us for a few drinks and a bit of a dance this evening.
