READY!🍷2 Fun Days exploring Dublin: Sightseeing, Walking, Pubs, Meals (etc) 🍺

We've now finalised the dates, flights and accommodation for our trip to Dublin.....

✪ Dates: Thursday 23rd - Friday 24th May.
✪ Flights ~ £100 return (plus 10kg overhead cabin bag £20 e/w)
✪ Dublin Airport Transfers approx £10 return.
✪ Budget Hotel ~ £125 (single room, own bathroom).

Most Hotels around Dublin typically cost over £170 per night on this date so we were very lucky to find one with rooms at around £125.

✪ TRIP OVERVIEW ✪
Once again, this promises to be an amazing trip. We're planning a ton of sightseeing, an open top bus tour, walking around the city and of course visits to the oldest and most historic pubs (did you know that Dublin has over 700 pubs?).

There's so much to see and do. With some careful planning we'll be able to see a huge amount and have a fantastic time together. We'll map out the whole two days, packing in the sights, mostly via walking but also on the open top bus. In addition to visiting some nice old historic pubs, this year we'll be adding some rooftop bars - cocktails anyone? 🍷

✪ WHAT TO EXPECT ✪
This trip involves two full days of sightseeing, with lots of walking, pub & meal stops and also discovering the city by night. We're likely to cover around 5 miles each day with our well planned itinerary and timetable - to fit in as much as possible.

As usual, you can join in with the group, do your own thing or a bit of both. If you get detached from us, you'll be able to catch up (with a smartphone and some map skills) as everyone will be joined to our Dublin WhatsApp group and we'll drop a map pin whenever we stop.

✪ HISTORIC PUBS ✪
There are so many really nice old pubs in Dublin, some historic and some mainly frequented by the locals. Here are a few we're aiming for....

The Brazen Head, established in 1198 is the oldest pub in Dublin and opened not long after the Vikings left. 🍷

The Stag’s Head, established in 1780, is known as one of the most beautiful in Dublin. And there is a stag’s head behind the bar! 🍷

Bruxelles, isn’t your traditional dark Irish pub. All of the flags of nations in the EU hang down from the ceiling. Thin Lizzy used to hang out here in the 1970s and this bar has also seen celebrities such as John Denver, 50 Cent, and members of Iron Maiden and Snow Patrol. 🍷

✪ WHO CAN JOIN US ? ✪
It's more comfortable when we know others on trips away. For this reason, only paid-up members of our group who have attended at least 3 events before we travel will be able to join us.

Couples and guests of members, as usual, are not able to join us on trips away.

Non-members, strangers and stowaways are not able to join us at ANY event and will be turned away (yes, it's been attempted before - at the airport!!)

In the interests of group harmony and balance, the organisers reserve the right to decline any member wanting to join us on this trip.
