The format has changed from previous events, (pre COVID) and this is now a ticketed event. We have secured FREE tickets and our own booths for our group by the bar.

✪ WHO CAN JOIN US HERE? ✪

To join in with our group at this event, you must be a member of our meetup group with an RSVP. We are unable to include unexpected strangers or non-members. Guests must also be aged between 40-59, single and their first visit to the group.

✪ ENTRY TO THE CASINO ✪

Please make your way to entrance on the far left of the building as you look at it.

Reception will ask if you are a member, (it's free to join but see requirements below). Tell them you are part of the Southend Over 40's group and give them your name. They will have a list of our members who RSVP to this event, so please show them your membership card or ID and they will issue you with a wristband.

✪ ABOUT THE GENTING CLUB ✪

A new style red membership card is required (issued from 2021). If you do not have one then registration is quick and easy at the reception desk. It takes under 5 mins but you MUST bring some photo id (eg: passport or driving licence).

✪ MEETING SPOT & TIME ✪

We'll meet on the right hand side of the new large bar which is closest to the dance floor and stage, (not the tiny bar by the main entrance). We will have our own booths reserved in my name, (Pippa), before the second exit.

Your hosts will be standing around here from 830pm ready to meet and greet everybody. If you'd like to have a chat and get to know others then please arrive soon after 830pm as conversation and introductions can be difficult once the entertainment begins.

✪ NEWER MEMBERS ✪

For newer members, don't worry about your first few visits as everyone is here to have a good time, meet new people and socialise so you're pretty much guaranteed to enjoy the evening.

Your host will be Pippa. If you don't know her, take a good look at her photo, come and say hello (no matter what she's doing) and we'll introduce you to the others.

We'll do our best to look out for you based upon your profile picture (hope its a good one?).

✪ PARKING ✪

There are ample public spaces along the seafront either side of the casino (usually free after 6pm - please check). The spaces directly outside the casino are free for any member visiting the casino after 7pm (but not overnight).
