Libation for Hera

Details
We will begin the new year with an offering for Hera, the queen of the gods. Each year she enters in a spring called Kanathos in Argolid Nauplia where she bathes in renewal. According to Orphic tradition, Hera is a vivific goddess who pushes our soul's to greatness. She is the equal of Zeus and the emanation of the Earth.
Our offering will follow the usual structure of Hellenic practice: we will cleanse our hands with khernips, light incense, read hymns, and leave offerings of food and drink on the altar. Then we will share in some time together. The organizers of this ritual may also prepare a special meditation or prayer of renewal.
Southern California Hellenic Polytheists is an active group of "reconstructionish" practioners of Hellenismos. We are a diverse and inclusive group who used to meet regularly in person, moved to zoom only offerings, and now are experimenting with hybrid events. You are welcomed to join us on zoom and to read a hymn if you are so inclined :)
Please send a message with any questions!
Zoom link will be posted for people who RSVP
